SUPERCRETE HS is a highly stable new generation admixture formulated specifically to give high range water reduction for hot weather construction. At normal dosage rates, SUPERCRETE HS can produce highly fluid concrete which is soft and convenient for placing.SUPERCRETE HS has been formulated without added chlorides. The main function of SUPERCRETE HS is water reduction. It is compatible with waterproofing agent and other admixtures
ADVANTAGES
- Achieve a higher early strength
- Lesser dosage leads to a higher slump against the conventional type of superplasticizer
- Reduces segregation & bleeding in the plastic concrete.
- Reduces porosity and hence permeability of hardened concrete.
- Reduces concrete placement time and cost. When used as a water reducer without cement reduction, it Increases compressive strength by 70% to 100% depending on dosage and concrete mix design
- Convenient in placing and leveling
USES
- High performance concrete
- Low water/cement concrete mix design
- High slump, flowable concrete
- High early strength concrete
- Redosing of low slump concrete.
PROPERTIES
SUPERCRETE HS conforms to the requirement of ASTM C494 Type F, BS 5075 and BSEN934-2
SUPERCRETE HS can be used to obtain up to 35% water reduction depending on dosage used.
Colour: Brown
Specific Gravity: 1.19 ± 0.03
Dosage: 0.6 to 2.0 lit / 100kg of total binders.
Product Base: Naphthalene Sulfonate
pH Value: 7-8
COMPATIBILITY
SUPERCRETE HS is compatible with mineral admixtures such as Silica Fumes, Fly Ash, GGBFS and chemical admixtures such as waterproofing admixture, Air entraining agents, corrosion inhibiting agents and lignosulphonate based
admixtures. SUPERCRETE HS is not compatible with polycarboxylic based admixtures.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
SUPERCRETE HS should be dispensed into the fresh concrete or with the final quantity of mixing water. It should not come into contact with dry cement or other admixtures until they are mixed in the concrete batch. Also it can be fully dispersed with full quantity of water prior to be added to the dry mix of concrete.Agitaty the liquid well prior to use.
An increase in concrete temperature will cause an increase in slump loss and a decrease in setting time.
In the event when concrete needs to be retarded for longer transport, horizontally or vertically , it is
essential to combine it with a retarder such as Adcrete or Adcrete Plus
DOSAGE
The optimum dosage should be determined by site trials with the particular raw materials. As a guide, SUPERCRETE HS is normally used at a dosage range of 0.6 litres to 2.0 litres per 100kg of cement (inclusive of all cementitious binders such as fly ash, silica fume, GGBSF).
PACKAGING AND STORAGE
SUPERCRETE HS is supplied in 205 litre drums, 1000L IBC tanks or bulk delivery. SUPERCRETE HS should be stored under shade. The shelf life of SUPERCRETE HS is 12 months in its unopened drums and tanks. Once opened, we recommend that the balance be consumed within 3 months.
