SUPERCRETE is a highly stable new generation superplasticizer formulated specifically to give high range water reduction with retarding effect for hot weather construction. At normal dosage rates, SUPERCRETE can produce highly fluid concrete which is soft and convenient for placing.
SUPERCRETE has been formulated without added chlorides. Primary function of SUPERCRETE is water reduction and the secondary function is retardation.
ADVANTAGES
- Produces flow concrete with mid range slump retention.
- Reduces segregation & bleeding in the plastic concrete
- Reduces porosity and hence permeability of hardened concrete
- Reduces concrete placement time and cost.
- When used as a water reducer without cement reduction, it increases compressive strength by 70% to 100% depending on dosage and concrete mix design.
- Convenient in placing and leveling.
USES
- High performance concrete
- Low water/cement concrete mix design
- High slump, flowable concrete
- Low viscoussoft concrete
PROPERTIES
SUPERCRETE conforms to the requirement of ASTM C494 Type G, BS 5075 and BSEN934-2
SUPERCRETE can be used to obtain 16% to 35% water reduction depending on dosage used.
Colour: Brown
Specific Gravity: 1.18 ± 0.03
Dosage: 0.6 to 2.0 lit / 100kgs of total binders.
Product Base: Naphthalene Sulfonate
pH Value: 7-8
COMPATIBILITY
SUPERCRETE is compatible with mineral admixtures such as Silica Fumes, Fly Ash, GGBFS and chemical admixtures such as waterproofing admixture, Air entraining agents, corrosion inhibiting agents and lignosulphonate based admixtures. SUPERCRETE is not compatible with polycarboxylic based admixtures. ts.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
SUPERCETE should be dispensed into the fresh concrete or with the final quantity of mixing water.
It should not come into contact with dry cement or other admixtures until they are mixed in the
concrete. Also it can be fully dispersed with full quantity of water prior to be added to the dry mix of concrete. Agitate the liquid well prior to use.
In the event where longer retardation is expected. It is essential to combine with a purposely made retarder such as ADCRETE or ADCRETE PLUS (ASTM C494 Type B & D) to compensate inadequate retardation of using only SUPERCRETE, Please consult our technical team for further advice on the combined dosages
DOSAGE
The optimum dosage should be determined by site trials with the particular raw materials. As a guide, SUPERCRETE is normally used at a dosage range of 0.6 litres to 2.0 litres per 100kg of cement (inclusive of all cementitious binders such as fly ash, silica fume, GGBSF).
When using dosages more than 1200ml of SUPERCRETE for 100kg of cement, it is essential to be cautious about possible over retardation of concrete. If the concrete is produced with fly ash or when the ambient temperature is low, necessary dosage adjustments should be made
PACKAGING AND STORAGE
SUPERCRETE is supplied in 205 litre drums, 1000L IBC tanks or bulk delivery. SUPERCRETE should be stored under shade. The shelf life of SUPERCRETE is 12 months in its unopened drums and tanks. Once opened, we recommend that the balance be consumed within 3 months
